Donald James Podmore, age 77 of Willowick, passed away January 7th, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 28th, 1942 in Cleveland to the late Thomas and Norma Podmore.
Don was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired as a Cleveland Police Officer in 1995.
He graduated from Collinwood, class of 1961.
Don is the loving father of Beth Podmore of Willowick, April (Jack-deceased) Werling of Martelle, Iowa, Jill (Michael) McCrary of Willowick, and Geri Podmore of McDonough, Georgia, Donald Podmore of Willowick; grandfather of Brittany (Brad) Lass, Tiffany (Luke) George, Jayme Sykora, Kayla Podmore, Nick Lidle, Jaquie Rae Werling, Dashaun Werling, Saqua Werling and the late Ronald Sykora; great grandfather of Andrew, Maddox, Saraha, Allison, Luna; brother of Nancy (Larry) Neubecker and the late Thomas Podmore; uncle and cousin of many.
The Podmore family will receive friends 1-3 PM Saturday, January 18th, 2020 at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave., Willoughby (which is located on the grounds of McMahon Coyne Vitantonio Funeral Home/Jeff Monreal Funeral Services). A memorial service will follow at 3PM Saturday at The Abbey. Private burial in Arcola Cemetery in Madison at a later date.
He will be missed by Many friends along with many special friends from The Blue Parrot and Willowick Restaurant and Lounge.
Donations can be made to the family.

To the entire Podmore family, Sorry i am unable to be there to attend the service for your dad but I want you all to know that my prayers and thoughts are with all of you. My deepest sympathies and condolences on your loss. Rest In Peace Mr. Podmore.
Don, you will be missed. Thank you for the many happy memories I have of swimming in your pool every summer. Go with God and I am sure that you will be keeping things in order up in heaven.
