Anthony J. Caruso, age 87 of Painesville, passed away October 9th, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born May 13th, 1935 in Cleveland to the late Mary and Dominic Caruso.
Anthony received his Bachelor of Science degree from Lake Erie College, graduating Magna Cum Laude, after which, he began his career as a self-employed accountant.
Anthony enjoyed boating and being on the water. He loved cooking, music, and playing in a jazz band where he played the organ, piano and the accordion. He most loved spending time with his family. He is now sailing toward the sunset with his late son Jimmy.
Anthony is the loving husband of 39 years to Nona Caruso (nee Dickey); dearest father of the late Jimmy (Debbie) Caruso, Kim (Nick) Trem, Karen Miller, Caroline (Greg) Suba, Michael Caruso, Mary (John) McKeon, John (Allison) Caruso, Deanna (Jeff) Morganti, Jeffrey (Maria) Simmons and Mishelle (Mario) Ragusa; grandfather of eighteen: great grandfather of six; beloved brother of Grace (Joe) Riola; uncle of many.
The Caruso family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, October 14th at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
