John J. Jurick Sr., age 70 of Mentor, passed away October 5th, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 09th, 1950 in Cleveland to the late Joseph and Jean Jurick.
John worked at Conrail in Collinwood, Reliance Electric in Euclid and was the owner of Memphis Barber Shop.
John enjoyed fishing, hunting and most especially, spending time with his family.
John is loving husband for 51 years of Diane M. Jurick (nee Putney); beloved father of Lisa M. (James) Baker, Gina M. (Don) Salupo; John J. (Michelle) Jurick Jr., Diane M. Coughlin and Rebecca M. (Mike) Bauer; dearest grandfather of Christina Baker, Nicole (Dan) Sutter, Amanda Baker, Gianna and Joseph Salupo, Jessica and Jenna Jurick, Riley and Mason Coughlin, Hannah, Hailey, Sophia and Gabriella Bauer; brother of the late Phillip Jurick Sr.; brother in law of Mary Ann Jurick, Bill (Alexis) Putney, Craig (Marianne) Putney and John (Maria) Putney; uncle and cousin of many.
The Jurick family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Thursday, October 8th at McMahon Coyne Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center Street, Mentor. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM Friday, October 9th at Holy Redeemer Church, 15712 Kipling Ave., Cleveland. A private burial will be held at a later date at Mentor Cemetery. Please observe social distancing and bring a mask covering.
