Nicholas U. Trem, age 77 of Painesville, formerly of Willowick, passed away April 8th, 2024 at The Lantern of Madison. He was born April 23rd, 1946 to the late Rocque and Betty Trem.
Nick retired from Dino’s III Restaurant in 2015 after 35 years of service. Nick also worked at the Captain’s Stadium in Eastlake as the scoreboard operator.
Nick was a U.S. Army Veteran. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and Help on Wheels for over 25 years. He also ushered at St. Mary of the Assumption Church for many years. He enjoyed golfing, Frank Sinatra and walking his dalmatian dog “Jack” and later “Bella” around the city of Willowick/Painesville.
Nick lived his life to help others, providing for his family and helping anyone who needed it.
Nick was the loving husband to Kimberly Trem (nee Caruso) and the late Lynda Trem (nee Fiorelli); beloved father of Joseph (Heather) Trem, Nicholas (Jenna) Trem, Jennifer (Brendan) Coakley, Angela (John) Lewis and Stacy (Tim) Saccone; dearest “Papa” of Taryn, Brady and Lyla Trem, Joey, Leo, Zane and Phoebe Coakley, Jacob and Lily Slovensky, and Johnny Lewis; brother of Rocque (Sandra) Trem and the late Leonard and Tom (Janet) Trem; uncle to many nieces and nephews.
The Trem family will receive friends from 2:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday, April 14th at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor. A private burial will be held at All Souls Cemetery at a later date.
