Denise D. Smith (nee Shuman), age 61, of Chesterland, passed away March 23rd, 2024 at Heather Hill Care Community in Chardon surrounded by her family. She was born September 19th, 1962 in Willoughby, OH.
Denise enjoyed volunteering at The Eastlake Kiwanis Food Pantry. She would help distribute food and deliver food to those in need. She always thought of others before herself and would go out of her way to help anyone. She loved all animals, especially her horse “Cherokee”. Her family was her world, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Denise is the loving wife of Bill Smith; beloved mother of Brian Smith and Ashley (Conrad) Parker; dearest daughter of Jean Cooper and Pat Shuman; cherished sister of Vicky Bennett, Buddy (Wendy) Fulmer, TJ Fulmer, Andy Fulmer and the late Mark Fulmer; daughter in law of the late Elizabeth Smith; aunt to many nieces and nephews; step daughter of the late Tony Fulmer; dear friend of Diane Raggets.
The Smith family would like to invite you to Sunnybrook Preserve, 12474 Heath Rd. in Chesterland anytime between 12:30 – 6:30 PM Wednesday, May 29th, 2024 to celebrate the life of Denise.
A private burial will be held at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland at a later date.
