Geraldine “Gerry” Fitzgerald (nee Kerezsi), age 76 of Madison, formerly of Eastlake, passed away July 26th, 2024 at UH Geauga Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born June 29th, 1948 in Cleveland to Elmer and the late Dorothy Kerezsi.
Gerry was a waitress at Denny’s in Willoughby and retired after 40 years of service.
Gerry enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading romance novels. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Katy. She also loved her cat “Baby”.
Gerry was the loving wife of the late Ronald Fitzgerald; beloved mother of John (Jen Trick) Kerezsi; dearest grandmother of Katy (DJ Cherkes) Kerezsi; cherished sister of Barb (Rich-deceased) Conroy, Ernie (Kathy) Kerezsi, Sandra (Randy-deceased) McGough and the late Susan Kereszi and Sharon (Robert-deceased) Lloyd; aunt to many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held for family and friends from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 1st, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.

Gerry was my sister in law and one of the sweetest ladies! Every holiday, without fail, my and her mother in law Betty would receive the most beautiful
Flower arrangement. She always participated in xmas gatherings long after Ron passed which was an example of her family values. It was evident that she adored her grandchildren. So sorry for your loss John and Katy. Much love.
