Susan L. Slusher, age 64 of Mentor, passed away December 1, 2024 at University Hospital in Cleveland. She was born September 25, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late William and Martha Slusher. Sue was the loving companion of Kurt Warner; beloved sister of Karol (Jim-deceased) Frew and the late Sandy (Frank) Lawrence; aunt to Lori DeGeorge and Heidi Fosnaught; great aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Sue grew up in the Cleveland area and spent most of her time with her family members. She made wonderful memories with her nieces, usually getting into mischief. She spent a lot of her time in the kitchen learning to cook with her mother, and she carried on the tradition of those recipes throughout her entire life.
As a young adult, she was one of the first members of her family to seek higher education and obtain a bachelor’s degree. She was also one of the first to move out of state to pursue a career growth opportunity. Many of her family members would describe Sue as brave and inspirational in doing so. Sue worked at PepsiCo as a manager in the accounting department for over 25 years. She was very proud of her job and often talked about her experiences there.
Sue moved back to the Cleveland area and met her loving companion, Kurt. Together, they adopted numerous animals and created a welcoming home to many. Sue had many passions, such as gardening, cooking, shopping, traveling and celebrating holidays. Sue’s greatest passion, however, was spending quality time with the people she loved.
The family will receive family and friends from 4:00-6:00PM Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00PM Tuesday at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date.
