Deborah “Debbie” Kurilko, age 68, of Eastlake/Willowick, passed away peacefully at home on June 6th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 17th, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the cherished daughter of the late Andrew and Wilda Kurilko.
Debbie dedicated her life to caring for others, working as an MRI Technologist for over 45 years. Her career in the medical field began in 1975 at Lake West Hospital, later continuing at Hillcrest Hospital, and ultimately retiring from UH Ahuja Medical Center after 50 years of compassionate service.
While Debbie found purpose in her work, her greatest joy came from her family—especially in being Aunt Debbie. To so many, she wasn’t just an aunt by title, but a second mother, a guiding light, and a source of unconditional love. Her nieces and nephews were the center of her world, and she loved them fiercely and fully, with a heart that had no limits. Aunt Debbie was adored by Nicole (Ari) Newman, Maryam (Jordan) Hardgrow, Andy (Megha Rimal) Mansour, Samir Mansour, T.J. Suydam, Jamie (Lucas Thomeier-fiancé) Suydam, and the late David Kurilko. Her love extended across generations, embracing her great-niece and nephews—Zoe, Seth, and Ben Newman—with the same warmth and joy.
She was a devoted and loving sister to Andrew Kurilko Jr., Lori Mansour, and Lisa Suydam, and a loyal friend to many. Her kindness, generosity, and radiant spirit touched everyone she met. Her laughter, hugs, and ability to show up for others—whether in times of celebration or sorrow—will never be forgotten.
The Kurilko family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, June 13th, 2025, at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Madison Cemetery.
Debbie’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know and love her.
