Ella Mae Chaykowsky (nee Kuhens), age 96 of Eastlake, passed away September 1st, 2025 at Concord Ridge Health & Rehabilitation. She was born May 20th, 1929 in Benwood, West Virginia to the late Clarence and Anna Kuhens.
Ella was an insurance adjuster for Prudential in Beachwood, retiring in 1995 after 20 years of service.
Ella loved her family deeply, she was a good friend, and many enjoyed talking and listening to her stories.
Ella was the loving wife of the late Joseph Chaykowsky; beloved mother of Joseph L. (Carol) Chaykowsky and Richard (Lori) Chaykowsky; dearest grandmother of Irina Chaykowsky, Linda (Terry) Miller, Lisa Lukans and Crystal (Mark) Bailey; great grandmother of seven; sister of the late Charles, James and Ernie Kuhens; aunt to many nieces and nephews.
The Chaykowsky family will receive friends and family from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Friday, September 5th, 2025 at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.

Joe and Rick, our condolences on the passing of your mother. She lived a long and beautiful life. You guys did a wonderful job of caring for her when she really needed it. Cherish the good times and be at peace knowing she is reunited with your dad. She was always smiling and in good spirits whenever I have seen her. She was a kind and wonderful lady. What a great lady. Quick whitted, smart, and funny. She would lighten a room. A special soul,she will be missed, but thought of Often.
