Albert Buchynsky, age 92 of Willowick, passed away July 23, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was born August 17, 1924 in Cleveland to the late Paul and Mary Buchynsky.
Albert served in the U.S. Navy as an electrician on the USS Holt Destroyer Escort 1943-1946 during WWII in the Pacific Ocean Theater. Albert received his bachelor’s degree in business from John Carroll University. He was a member of The Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, and he was a former coach for youth baseball in Willowick. He retired as a purchasing agent for National Acme in Cleveland. After retirement he worked as a sales associate for Walkers Hardware in Willowick.
He will be remembered for his gregarious, fun loving spirit. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend of many.
He is the loving husband for 68 years of Rita Buchynsky (nee Unger); dearest father of Cynthia Ann (Dave) Bocchieri, Albert Paul (Lorraine) Buchynsky, Bruce John Buchynsky, Amy Lee (Edward A. Jr.) Schabel and James Anthony Buchynsky; grandfather of Justin (Jana) Boccieri, April and Elliot Bocchieri, Angela (Chad) Kane, Lisa, Albert (Trisha) and Michael Buchynsky, and Kenneth Krause; great grandfather of Devion, Mallory and Emily Buchynsky and Kenneth S. Krause; brother of the late Paul (Donna) Buchynsky; brother in law of Kenneth Unger; uncle of many;
Funeral Mass 12:30PM Friday, July 28, 2017at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 460 East 321st, Street, Willowick. Visitation 12:00PM – 12:30PM Friday at the church. Interment at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
