It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Denise Marie Steigerwald (nee Dwyer) on April 20, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on January 25, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio to loving parents, Beatrice and Kenneth Dwyer.
Those who knew Denise well would describe her as a loving and caring person who devoted herself to nurturing others and making them laugh. She had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke or a story to lighten up the mood and warm smile which endeared her to everyone she met. Denise was an incredibly determined hard worker who had a long career as a comptroller.
Denise will be remembered most fondly as a devoted mother and grandmother who was always there when you needed someone to talk to or just a good hug. Her unique personality combined with her tireless dedication will be greatly missed by all who knew her but especially by those closest to her. She was no stranger to giving her all for the ones she loved; her nurturing nature made sure that everyone around her felt comfortable and taken care of. In her spare time she enjoyed a good margarita, taking cruises, going bowling and spending time with family members whom she loved dearly. Her legacy will live on through all those left behind whom she touched with her warm smile and caring heart.
