George A. Hansen, age 71, a Cleveland resident for many years, passed away April 22nd at his home.
Following a previous career as a Physician Assistant, George was a longtime employee and subsequent retiree of Ameritech. Beloved by his large extended family, his prompt arrival at family gatherings signaled the start of every festivity.
A lifetime meteorology buff and devoted cat lover, George doted on his longtime feline companions, “Mama” and “Baby.”
George was a proud member of Bethany English Lutheran Church, where he often volunteered his time.
George, a loving son and gentle man, was preceded in death by his sister, Karen, his mother, Jeanne, and his father, Walter.
A private memorial service is pending. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Cleveland Animal Protective League.
