Gerald “Jay” Vukcevic, age 72 of Mentor, passed away April 9th, 2024 at The Cleveland Clinic Mentor Hospital after a long and valiant battle with Parkinsons.
He was born January 7th, 1952 in Cleveland to the late Ted and Mary Vukcevic.
Jay was a retired Euclid Fireman for The City of Euclid Fire Dept. He also owned and operated Jay’s Moving Co. for many years.
Jay will be remembered as kindhearted, generous, loving and caring. He enjoyed golfing, spending time in Florida with his twin brother Jim and friends, watching Jeopardy and most of all being Grandpa Jay!
Jay was the loving husband for 24 years to Arlene Vukcevic (nee Anderson); dearest father of Cristy (Evan) Rosendahl, Annette (Jeffrey) Kramer and Sharon Zdesar; beloved grandfather of Magnus Rosendahl, Grayson and Dylan Kramer; Cooper and Mack Zdesar; brother of Terry (Theresa) Vukcevic and twin brother of Jim (DeeDee) Vukcevic; uncle to many nieces and nephews.
The Vukcevic family will receive friends from 3:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, April 15th at the Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 16th at Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Rd., Kirtland. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
