Irene Guy (nee Hudy), age 83 of Mentor, died peacefully in her sleep November 7th, 2018 at Hospice of the Western Reserve after a long illness. Born April 2, 1935 in Fairpoint, Ohio to the late John and Laura Hudy (nee Bumgardner).
She was a school bus driver for the Willoughby-Eastlake school system for many years. She retired from the Willoughby General Electric Quartz plant.
She was the loving wife of the late Lewis E. Guy; dearest mother of Richard (Patty – deceased) Guy of Willowick, Sandra (Jerry) Stewart of Mentor, and David Guy of Mentor; grandmother of Jason Guy of Eastlake, Jeremy Stewart of Mentor, Kathryn Stewart of Mentor, Sean Guy of Mentor, and Cali (Guy) Horsfall of Stow; great grandmother of seven; great great grandmother of one; sister of the late John Hudy Jr. of Cleveland, Albert Hudy of Canton, James Hudy of St. Clairsville, Kathryn Yesiolowski of Cleveland, Julie Slaughter of Huntington, West Virginia, Mary Riha of Newburgh Heights, and Anna Cross of St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Private burial will be held at a later date.
