James Joseph Bednarcik, age 98 of Willowick, passed away December 14, 2021 at Mentor Ridge. He was born May 2, 1923 in Cleveland to the late Jacob and Josephine Bednarcik.

James was a retired foreman at Bargar Metal. He was a U.S Navy Seabee WWII Veteran in The Pacific Theatre, proud member of the VFW Post #3863, the American Legion Post #678 and Eagles Post #4035 in Andover. He was an avid coin and stamp collector, as well as a Cleveland Baseball and Football fan.

James was the loving husband of the late Irene Bednarcik (Kutney); dearest father of Susan, Sheila, Gerald (Patricia), Jeffrey Bednarcik and the late Barbara Ann Rausch and James Bednarcik Jr.; beloved grandfather of Jason, Sara, Brittany, Gerrit, Avalon, Erik, Nicholas and Alexandra; great grandfather of Tyler, James, Lena, Nimue and Saphina; brother of Rita Kwasny and the late Marion Lach and Lillian Swiech.

The Bednarcik family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday, December 19, 2021 at The Abbey, 38011 Euclid Ave., Willoughby (located on the grounds of McMahon Coyne Vitantonio Funeral Home). A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at The Abbey. Burial at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
