Joan Marie Kingsley

Joan Marie Kingsley, age 94 of Lyndhurst, Ohio, passed away November 7, 2025.  She was born September 18, 1931 in New York, New York to the late Edward and Honora (Cruise) Saunders.  Joan was a graduate of Holy Cross Academy, New York City, New York.  She married Philip A. Kingsley August 29, 1959 and he preceded her in death December 18, 2000.

     Philip and Joan moved to Cleveland, Ohio where Joan was an administrative assistant for the South Euclid/Lyndhurst City Schools and the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.  She was a longtime member of St. Clare Catholic Church, Lyndhurst, Ohio and in her spare time she volunteered at Hillcrest Hospital and for Hospice for the Western Reserve for many years.

    Visitation will be Monday, November 24th, 2025 from 4:00 – 5:00 PM until the time of service at 5:00 p.m. at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (which is located on the grounds of McMahon Coyne Vitantonio Funeral Home). A private burial will be held at Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland.

     Joan is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ann Kingsley-Wilson (Scott); son, Stephen E. Kingsley (Margaret); grandchildren, Ellie Wilson, Drew Wilson, Katrina Means (John) and Tyler Anderson; and great-granddaughter Stevie and great-grandson Jack.
