Julius Robert Bokar, age 76 of Eastlake, passed away peacefully on June 20th, 2020 with his family at his side, at the Hospice of the Western Reserve. He was born September 5th, 1943 in Cleveland to the late Julius M. and Marie Bokar.
He was a graduate of East High School in Cleveland. Julius honorably served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1971, where he served as a machinist mate on the U.S.S. Everglades. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for his service. After his discharge, Julius was employed as a grinder at TRW where he worked for 30 years until his retirement. He enjoyed his free time with his friends as a member of the The Eagles Club in Willoughby. He was faithfully married to his wife for 55 years. Julius was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His greatest accomplishment was his family and his fondest memories are the times he spent with them.
Julius is the loving husband for 55 years to Judith Bokar; dearest father of Bob (Denise) Bokar, Chris (Kim) Bokar and Renee Bokar; beloved grandfather of Danielle (Nick) Orlando, Eric Bokar, Lauren Bokar, Christopher Bokar, Savannah Bokar and Halle Karohl; great grandfather of Anthony Orlando; brother of Philip (Donna-deceased) Bokar and David (Kathleen) Bokar; uncle of Ashley Bokar, Jennifer Bokar and Simon Bokar; great uncle of Sophia Bokar.
The Bokar family will receive friends from 10 AM -11:30 AM Wednesday, July 1st, 2020 at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave., Willoughby (which is located on the grounds of McMahon Coyne Vitantonio Funeral Home). A Memorial Service will follow at 11:30 AM Wednesday at the Abbey.
Private burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
