Max S. Deering, age 91 of Painesville, formerly of Mentor, peacefully passed away April 27th, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born June 16th, 1930 in Keyford, West Virginia to the late Val and Emma Deering.

Max was a retired machinist. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. He raised his family on a farm in Mentor. He loved gardening and providing for his family.

Max is the loving husband of the late Wilma Jean Deering; beloved father of Darlene (Steve) Ellis, Darrell (Tina) Deering, Keith Deering, Val Deering, Lisa (Jim) Martin, Tim Deering and the late Emma Jean Deering; dearest grandpa of Rachel and Jada Ellis, Patrick and Matthew Deering, Michael Deering, Nicholas Barrett, Jessica Pachay; great grandpa of Oakley, Maya, Taylor, Jessica, Oktober, Seth, Ella, Bohdi, Luna, Patrick and Mackenzie; uncle of many. Max was the last surviving sibling of nine.

A private burial will be held at Mentor Cemetery at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
