Ralph Henry Smearman, age 92 of Eastlake, passed away December 13th, 2024 at Hospice of The Western Reserve surrounded by his family. He was born August 22nd, 1932 in Accident, Maryland to the late Henry and Scyntha Smearman.
Ralph was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 678. He was a retired machinist, an avid hunter, gardener and woodworker. He coached youth soccer and loved spending time with his family.
Ralph was the loving husband of 58 years to Roberta Smearman (nee Skakandy); beloved father of Eric (Chris) Smearman; beloved grandfather of Alex and Sam Smearman; brother of Reed Smearman, Helen Hoover and the late Floyd, Albert and Troy Smearman; uncle to many nieces and nephews.
The Smearman family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Saturday, December 21st, 2024 at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the church. A private burial will be held at a later date.
