Rodney “Rod” F. Sotka, age 69 of Chesterland, passed away September 21, 2016 at Hospice of the Western Reserve surrounded by his family. He was born November 15, 1946 in Cleveland.

Rod was a product manager at Sunar Hauserman.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Rod enjoyed playing golf, bowling, watching his grandchildren play sports, and priding himself on the shiniest car in town.

Survivors include his children: Michael (Michelle) Sotka and Beth (John) Hall; grandchildren: Max, Andrew and Ethan Sotka and Brenden Latkovich; cousin: Karen Katona.

Preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Stella Sotka; great grandmother: Caroline Grzemski.

Memorial Services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2016 at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby, located on the grounds of Jeff Monreal Funeral Home.

Visitation 3-7 p.m. Sunday at The Abbey.

Private burial at Highland Cemetery in Highland Hills.
