Rollin Jarrett, of Perry, passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 79, in the care of his loving daughters following a brief illness. He was born November 7, 1945, in Leckie, West Virginia, to the late Jacob and Cloie (nee Martin) Jarrett. Rollin worked for the city of Warrensville Heights before his retirement, where he spent many happy years on his “84 Acres” in Pennsylvania before moving back to Ohio to be closer to his family. Rollin enjoyed being outdoors and loved to camp and be with his many pets that he treasured over the years. He was an outstanding cook and truly enjoyed sharing a meal with his family. Most notably, Rollin demonstrated unwavering zeal in the wake of many illnesses and great loss over the past several years, setting an example of strength and resilience for his family.
Survivors include his former wife and faithful friend, Mary Jo Jarrett; loving daughters, Lisa (Richard) Craxton and Rebecca Dowd; treasured grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Sinkovic, Joseph Craxton, and Courtney Dowd; cherished siblings Alvin (Mary) Jarrett of Georgia and Lois Clark of Indiana; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Marty J. Fritsch; parents, Jacob and Cloie Jarrett; and sisters Geneva, Fern, Melba, Juanita, Doris, and Ellen; and brothers Charles, Daniel, and Roger.
Rollin’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The final resting place will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland, Ohio.
