Thomas J. Bontempo Jr., age 58 of Eastlake, passed away suddenly on August 30th 2021. He was born September 21st, 1962 in Euclid to the late Paula Bontempo and Thomas J. Bontempo Sr.
Tommy was the lead mechanic at Handy Rents in Eastlake. He was a “Difference Maker” at Handy Rents and in life. In spite of his many health problems, he persevered. He helped many people, especially helped through his many years of involvement in AA. One life saved from drugs and alcohol impacts so many others in a positive way – benefits extend to a spouse, children, extended family, friends, and the entire community. Tommy was a friend and even a mentor to other co-workers. Words could never describe or number the lives he has touched.
Tom is the loving husband of Sue Bontempo (nee Markiewicz); beloved father of Shannon (Dustin) Majewski, Veronica (John-fiance) Bontempo and Sylvia Bontempo; dearest brother of Jeannette (Adam) Sullivan; nephew of the late Sherry Dusett; step son of Linda Bontempo.
The Bontempo family will receive friends from 12: 00 Noon – 4:00 PM Sunday, September 5th, 2021 at the Body of Christ Community Church pavilion, 38057 Erie Rd., Willoughby. A Celebration of Tommy Bontempo’s Life will be held at 1:00 PM outside the church. Please dress casual as Tommy always wanted to have a “Party”.
Tom was a friend of Bill W. and a proud member of Men In Action.
We will miss Tommy every day. He was a positive force, always lending a helping hand. May he rest in peace, and may his family and friends feel comfort and peace during this time.
Arrangement have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal of Jeff Monreal Funeral Home.
