William “Bill” Maresh age 72. Died June 28th, 2026 at Metro Hospital in Cleveland after a short illness.
Born July 16th, 1953 to parents Joseph and Vera (Smyth) Maresh. Brother to Patricia (Harry)Hanlon, uncle to Steven, Patrick and Kevin. Dear friend to Mark Singer, Brian Clarke , Mark Blase and many others.
Bill lived most of his life in Euclid. He was a member of St. William’s Catholic Church. Bill had many neighbor hood friends that looked out for him, took him camping, took him paintball shooting, and always included Bill in neighborhood and family events. Bill loved the Cleveland Indians, and had a special seat at the stadium next to John the drummer. He loved the all the holiday’s, but his high holiday was the Fourth of July. Bill spared no expense on fireworks and typically was the last one to go to bed. He looked forward to July 4th all year long.
Bill died a hero. Bill was an organ donor. He donated his liver, kidneys, tissue and eyes. He saved many lives, what a gift he gave to complete strangers.
Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 4, 2026 at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake, Ohio. Burial at a later date.
