Jozo “Čoza” Bošnjak, age 75 of Mentor, passed away December 22nd, 2024 at CareCore At Mentor with his family by his side. He was born March 8th, 1949 in Fojnica, Bosnia to the late Juro and Ljubica Bošnjak.
Čoza was a retired owner/bartender of the Croatian Home Bar on the corner of East 64th and St. Clair in Cleveland. He enjoyed playing cards and gambling with his friends. He was loved by all who knew him and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Čoza was the loving husband of 50 years to Branka Bošnjak (nee Homoki); beloved father of Ružica (Steve-deceased) Grbavac and Ivica Bošnjak; dearest grandfather of Matthew, Anna and Isabella Grbavac; brother of Lucija (Marijan) Vučić and the late Dragica Čorić, Angelka Gavran, Vlado Bošnjak and Stipo Bošnjak; brother in law of Vesna Bilaver, Joe (Margaret) Homoki and Kathy (Steve) Trimble; uncle to many nieces and nephews.
The Bošnjak family will receive friends from 9:00 – 11:00 AM Saturday, December 28th, 2024 at St. Paul Croatian Church, 1369 East 40th Street, Cleveland. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM Saturday at the church. Burial at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
