In loving memory of Judy Mae Hartwell, age 70, who passed away on March 12th, 2025 at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Mentor after a brief illness. Judy was born on August 5th, 1954 in Painesville, Ohio.
She was also an excellent gardener who planted her own vegetables and put in her own shrubbery. She could identify any flower and loved to share her knowledge with her neighbors. Judy was proud to be a part of the Cherokee Indians and collected jewelry and anything else she could find. Always generous to anyone even when she could not afford to it. She found joy in being able to help others.
She is survived by her brothers, James Wirth and Howard Victor, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Thomas and Pamela Newman. Preceding her in death was her loving husband, Jimmy. They married on June 6th, 1977, and who was her only true love and companion. Her parents, Howard and Geraldine Victor, and brother, Michael Victor.
She was a family woman who loved her nieces (Lisa, Angela, and Sarah) and their children (Justin, Zachary, Emma, Noah, Frankie, Elijah, Olivia, Sophia and Rosalind).
Judy always expressed her love and gratitude to family members, Tony and Kim Newman, because they never forgot her for her birthday and Christmas. Her brother, James because he made sure to keep the family close during the holidays. To her brother-in-law, Tom because he always made sure she had everything she needed and wanted for 20 years and also to Pam, for all the same reasons and she called Pam her “true sister”.
There are no calling hours. There will be an intimate family Celebration of Life for her at a future date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Painesville.

I send my condolences to the family, May God wrap his arms around each of you during this Difficult time
Oh my Judy. How I’ll miss you so much. Our long talks and giggles about everything. You were the best neighbor. You and Jimmy become so close with Dustin, the girls and myself. I will always hold you close to my heart. I love you to moon and always will, our beautiful angel!
Judy was married to my cousin,Jimmy.
I got to spend time with them when they lived in WV. Judy was working at a hotel at that time. She was a conscientious hard worker and helper. Kindness to all and a sense of humor with a beautiful laugh is how I remember Judy. Say hello to all of our family for me Judy.
Judy, you will now be with my cousin Jimmy and your late husband again. Rest in Peace Judy.
