Lucille A. O’Neill (nee Mack)

Lucille A. O’Neill (nee Mack), age 99 of Willowick, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025 at UH Geneva Medical Center with family by her side. She was born on January 24, 1926 in Cleveland, OH to the late Joseph and Mary Mack.

Lue would happily greet each day with a “top o’ the mornin’!” and end each day with a glass of wine. She was a loving homemaker and lived a life filled with kindness, resilience, and an unwavering love for her family. Her presence was a guiding light, always bringing warmth and wisdom to those around her. She was a devout catholic and parishioner at St. Mary Magdalene church where she was a member of the Morning Glories for many years. She was a Stephen Minister, and was a member of the Isabella’s Guild, Eagles Club, Red Hat Society, and the Willowick Senior Center. In her downtime, she enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing, and spending time with her family.

Lue was the loving wife of the late John “Jack” O’Neill; beloved mother of Charlie (LaVon) O’Neill, Kevin (Debbie) O’Neill, Mary Lynn (Robert) Ramey, Brian O’Neill, Paul (Rhonda) O’Neill, and the late Gary (Laurie) O’Neill, John (Rochelle) O’Neill, Lewie (Judy) O’Neill, and Allen O’Neill; dearest grandmother of Joe (Micah), Shane (Heather), Trevor, Jack, Shannon, Greg (Hope), Marianne, Danielle, Carlie, Clayton (Jayson), Jason (Dee), Ben (Erin), Sarah, and Lewis; cherished great grandmother of Isabelle, Ava, Ansley, Raelynn, Carter, Aurora, Silas, Trevor, Leo, Jacob, Peyton, and Parker; sister of the late Ed Mack and Al Mack; aunt to many nieces and nephews.

The O’Neill family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, February 28th, 2025 at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine Street, Willowick. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.

  2. She was a great person and woman that lived a great life!! We love her and will miss her greatly. She treated everyone like family and was a true patriot and a devoted catholic woman who loved everyone for who they were. We will miss you greatly!
