Patricia A. Stern (nee Nied)

Patricia A. Stern (nee Nied), age 79 of Kirtland, formerly of Eastlake, passed away July 20th, 2025 at the Cleveland Clinic with her family by her side. She was born August 30th, 1945 in Cleveland, OH to the late Theodore and Dorothy Nied.

Patricia was a retired secretary from ABB in Wickliffe. She enjoyed biking, swimming and hiking. She was a member of the Cleveland Touring Club. She loved most, spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.

Patricia was the loving wife and best friend of 60 years to Dennis S. Stern; beloved mother of Brian (Linda Graham) Stern, Terry (Lori) Stern and Robin (Mike) Piper; dearest “Mimi” of Rylee Stern and Olive Piper; sister of Ted (Jan-deceased) Nied and Gloria Costello.

The Stern family will receive family and friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 6th, 2025 at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

    Please accept my deepest sympathy!! I have many great memories with Pat and our camping days! Lots of laughs and good times. I’m glad I got to talk to her and Denny not too long ago after we moved back to Ohio. We caught up on what all our kids were doing and it was nice!!

  2. I was lucky enough to be around for “pizza night” Fridays at the Stern house. I did not see Mrs. Stern a lot but I vividly remember her pizza and those times when she welcomed me to the table.
