Marlene G. Cadman (nee Novak), age 63, of Madison, passed away at Solon Pointe – Emerald Ridge in Solon on February 3, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer.
Marlene was born on June 2, 1961, in Painesville. She was a lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio, where she enjoyed spending time with her family and being outdoors. She was an avid gardener. She loved animals and spent ten years as a 4-H Advisor in Lake County. She was a loyal fan of the Guardians, Cavs, Browns, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. She was also an ardent supporter of the arts, with a love for music, movies, and reading.
Marlene is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Doug Cadman; daughters, Katie (Todd) Moses and Christine (Matt Seemiller) Cadman; mother, Lillian Stopar (nee Cahill); sister, Cindy (Gary) Stockdale; brother-in-law Larry (Sharon) Cadman; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Novak; stepfather, Hank Stopar; sister, Terri (Edward “Chip”) Domanick; and brother-in-law, Bruce Cadman.
The Cadman Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., in Painesville. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

You were always a sweet, loving, caring niece. Since your dad passed away we didn’t get together very often which I regret now that you are gone. I’m hoping that you can find peace and tranquility in your next life as you join your sister and father in the heavens above. We miss you already and will not forget you!
