Ana Marija Matijevic-Grubiss, age 49 of Eastlake, formerly of Kirtland, passed away December 7th, 2022. She was born in Cleveland July 26th, 1973 to Stjepan and Zora Matijevic (nee Horvatin).
Ana graduated from Kirtland High School in 1991. She was the Vice President of Alternative Metal Service in Willoughby.
Ana enjoyed traveling, horseback riding, fishing (catching), hiking and anything that had to do with the outdoors. She enjoyed working out and staying physically fit. She especially loved spending time with all of her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Ana is the loving wife of Paul Grubiss; beloved step mother of Arianna (Dillon) Gerischer and Nicholas Grubiss; grandmother of Dahlia Murphy Gerischer; dearest daughter of Stjepan and Zora Matijevic (nee Horvatin); cherished twin sister of Joe (Sandy) Matijevic; aunt of Joey and Madison Matijevic and many nieces and nephews; daughter in law of Raymond and Geraldine Grubiss; sister in law of Raymond Grubiss, Mark (Sandy) Grubiss, Lisa (Phil-deceased) Greger, Brian (Jen) Grubiss, Diane (Mike) Milnes and Daniel Grubiss.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, December 15th at McMahon Coyne Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center Street, Mentor. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Friday at Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Rd., Kirtland. Burial at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
Arrangement have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Home.

My Condolences go out to the family such good people. I would like to say I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Ana in person but I am a good friend of Paul Grubis and I know how much he cared and loved Ana. You all are in our prayers and Ana can be on her next journey to Heaven because that is where good people go on to a better place. God Bless you all

We will miss Ana terribly. She and Paul were so much fun to go out with. She was often the laughter that was infectious. She is with the Lord and will find peace. We will see you again one day and laugh together for ever. We love you Ana.
