Bertha “Bert” E. Riddle (nee Morris), age 93 of Willoughby, formerly of Eastlake, passed away July 9th, 2021 at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland surrounded by her family. She was born July 17th, 1927 in Cleveland to the late George and Audrey Morris.

Bert started her career volunteering at The Red Cross. She was a school cafeteria worker at Eastlake North High School and Longfellow. She also worked at Eaton Corp. where she worked in the cafeteria.

She taught ceramics with her sister Jean and did upholstery work with her best friend Joyce. She also volunteered at Bingo at North High School and the Northshore Mall.

Bert was the loving wife of the late William Ford Riddle; beloved mother of William A. Riddle and Joseph C. (Dorothea) Riddle; grandmother of Billy Riddle and Lauren Riddle; great grandmother of Jordan Riddle; dearest sister of Dorothy Ray and the late Lucille Mexicott, Irene Bencur, George Morris, Ruth Theiss, Jack Morris and Jean Fish; sister in law of Damon Fish and Carol Morris; aunt to many nieces and nephews.

The Riddle family will receive friends from 3:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, July 14th, 2021 at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon Coyne Vitantonio Funeral Home). A Funeral Service will held at 6:30 PM Wednesday at The Abbey of Willoughby.

The family would like to thank the compassionate, caring staff of Hospice of the Western Reserve.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the David Simpson Hospice House or to the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral & Cremation Services.

    Many memories of playing chicken scratch with Bert Will miss her Condolences to Bill, Billy, Joe, Dorothea and Lauren. May all of you feel God’s comforting arms surround you at this time of great sorrow
