Bryan Keith Robbins, age 63, of Concord Twp., passed away December 19th, 2022 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord with his family by his side. He was born August 20th, 1959 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to Roberta Louise Robbins (nee Martin) and the late S. Sgt. Charles Edward Robbins. From the age of 3 Bryan was a life-long Lake County resident, being a “north-ender” of Willoughby (Mohegan Trail) during his early years, attending McKinley Elementary and Eastlake Jr. High, and graduating from Willoughby South High School in 1977. During the working years Bryan was the asst. warehouse manager at Medic Drug.

Bryan’s passion was music, beginning on the guitar at age 8 but quickly moving to the bass, and he played in several area bands over the years: The Rebels, Open Fire, The Hep Cats, The Crossroads, and The Swampcats. Bryan also loved sports: he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and he enjoyed golfing with his wife. For relaxation, he loved fishing and doing yard work.

Bryan is the loving husband of 37 years to Cherrise A. Robbins (nee Hornick), the love of his life with whom he shared a total of 43 years. Bryan is also the dearest brother of Steven (Linda) Robbins and Kim Robbins; uncle of Gregory and Daniel Robbins, Bradley, Kaitlynn, Andrew and Brysten Robbins, Joseph Hornick, Alexis and Alyssa Dion; son in law of William and Carolyn Hornick; brother in law of William “Billy” (Karen) Hornick and Kelly (Damian) Dion; and we cannot forget his loving dog “Roo”.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Monday, December 26th, 2022 at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bryan’s name to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation www.jdrf.org

  3. My deepest condolences to Bryan’s family. I worked with Bryan at Medic. I remember a group of us going out to see his band play at the bar at the end of Lost Nation. I asked Bryan for his autograph so I could prove I knew him before he became famous. Bryan was a great guy and will be greatly missed.
