Carole Lynn Johnson (nee Smith), age 60, of Mentor, passed away February 22nd, 2021. She was born February 13th, 1961 in Painesville, Ohio to Barbara Smith and the late Gerald Smith.

Carole was an avid reader, enjoyed shooting pool, crafts, motorcycles and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Carole is the loving wife of the late W. Michael Johnson; beloved mother of Jennifer (Derek) Haycraft, James Conomy, Karen Johnson, Michael (Danielle Billig) Johnson and the late Gerald Michael Conomy; cherished grandmother of Donavin Petrowski, Aislin Conomy, Morrigan O’Sullivan, Preston Haycraft, Xavier Conomy, Joseph Schauer, and Elliott Johnson; sister of Geraldine (Steven) Anderson, Patrick (Tina) Smith, Jeanette (Joseph) Mace and Anthony Smith; aunt, cousin and niece of many.

The Johnson family will receive friends from 3-6 PM Saturday, February 27th, 2021 at The Abbey, 38011 Euclid Ave., Willoughby (which is located on the grounds of McMahon Coyne Vitantonio Funeral Home). A funeral service will be held at 6 PM Saturday at The Abbey of Willoughby. Private inurnment at Mentor Cemetery at a later date. Masks and social distancing required.

Donations can be made to the family to help with funeral costs.

Arrangements have been made to Jeff Monreal Funeral & Cremation Services.

    My sincere condolences to all, Carole was a phenomenal friend that will be so so missed, our talks at all hours of the night our trips to get coffee at midnight and her bursting into my room just to make sure I was ok. I will remember our good times always with love and the utmost respect as my dear dear friend.

  6. I will miss my best and only friend, on this earth!!!! Her and i were always here for each in good and bad she didnt ever want this she adored her family and especially ALL OF HER GRANDCHILDREN!!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!! Karen just call me if you need anything!!!!! ALL MY LOVE AND PRAYERS!!!!!!
