Dennis Everett Stevers

5/28/1949 - 3/06/2024

Dennis Everett Stevers, age 74 of Concord, passed away March 6th, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 28th, 1949, to the late Everett “Steve” and Evelyn Stevers (Marolt).

Dennis was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army’s 25th Infantry Division where he was awarded four Purple Hearts during the war. He was a Cleveland Police Officer who retired in 1996 after 23 years of service.

Dennis enjoyed golfing and was a huge hockey fan. He was a tough person, but under his armor, he was a gentle, loving man who cared deeply for his family and close friends.

Dennis cherished the life he built with his beloved Frances (Marolt), who stood by his side for 54 years. He embraced fatherhood with unparalleled tenderness, nurturing his children Michelle (Aaron) Miller and Dennis Stevers with boundless affection and guidance. He was a proud Grandpa to Ethan, Alec and Jonny Miller. Dennis shared a profound bond with his big brother Steve Stevers. He leaves behind many life-long friends and family members, none more cherished than his cousin Mike Stevers. Dennis will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life service may be announced at a later date. Burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Den was my brother-in-law but I loved him like a brother and he treated me like a sister. He had a kindness and generosity that only his family and friends knew. Without words ever having been spoken, I knew if I had a problem, big or small, I could count on Den. Throughout the time we knew each other he always had my back and I will forever be grateful.

Whenever Fran and I spoke on the phone, he always had something to say. It was always different but always the same subject (those that knew him can imagine what that subject was) I always had the same reply and we all would always have a good laugh. I will miss that.

I called him the night before his surgery to let him know I was thinking about him and would be praying for him. He told me that if anyone’s prayers would be answered it would be mine. We gave each other our love and that is the last time we spoke. I don’t think God heard me.

🙏 Rest in peace Den, you are now free of pain, swing that club.
Until we meet again, your loving sister Dorothy. ♥️

  8. Den was a warrior that was proud to serve his country, and was revered by many. Tough when he needed to be, compassionate when he should be and kind and generous when he could be. If you were a friend in need Den was there for you.
He was a good man and I feel fortunate to have known him. He will be missed by myself and all that knew him.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he was in Gabriel’s army now and watching over his family to guide and protect.

    God Bless You Brother
