It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doris Mae Karger on August 17th, 2026, beloved wife, sister and aunt. Doris was born September 13, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Leonard A. Ball and Margaret (nee Tews) Ball.
Doris graduated from Collinwood High School and spent the majority of her working years in the office of the General Motors Fisher Body Plant in Cleveland.
Doris was married to the late Gerhard Karger and is survived by her sister Donna (Jean) Sly and brother John Ball, many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM Saturday, August 29th, 2026 at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. A private Interment will be held at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens.
