  1. I just soaked in the pictorial tribute to Edith Alice and her loving family. She was a beautiful woman, inside…..and obviously outside. She and I met through our church,The Chapel, in 1979 and have been friends ever since. We were each other’s “sounding boards” in the midst of the respective dramas of our lives. She lived only two blocks away and I remember helping her pack up her home in Mayfield Hts., Ohio, while we were glued to the TV to watch Princess Diana marry Prince Charles. Too bad it wasn’t the fairy tale union we all thought it was then. This was July, 1981, and Edith Alice was moving to Tulsa and I would sorely miss her. We remained telephone friends and occasional visitors throughout the years. We had a mutual love of ice cream, but way more significant was our love of Jesus, who secured our eternal life with Him forever. Thus, with her passing, I look forward to seeing her in glory, where there will be no more tears or crying. What a homecoming that will be!
