Elaine V. Aranavage (nee Majikas), age 77 of Willowick, peacefully passed away December 18th, 2023 at Light of Hearts Villa in Bedford surrounded by her family. She was born November 27th, 1946 in Girardville, PA to the late Victoria and Frank Majikas.

Elaine was a former custodian at St. Mary Magdalene Church retiring after many years of service.

Elaine was heavily involved at St. Mary Magdalene Church and was a proud parishioner. If St. Mary Magdalene was having an event, Elaine was always there helping in any way she could. She helped at Sunday School and coached girls’ volleyball, basketball, and softball. She enjoyed gardening and watching the Cleveland Indians. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Elaine was the loving mother of Peter (Kathleen) Aranavage, Matthew (Kerry Flynn) Aranavage, Christine (Cameron) Hochrein and Susan (Todd) Ackerman; beloved grandmother of Justin, Elizabeth, Cameron, Charlotte and the late Lauren Rose; dearest sister of Joseph (Josephine–deceased) Majikas and Albert (Ann-deceased) Majikas and the late Robert (Nancy) Majikas and Marion (Albert) Silvestro-Gingerich; former wife of the late Peter Aranavage Sr.; aunt to many nieces and nephews.

The Aranavage family would like to invite family and friends to celebrate Elaine’s life on Wednesday, December 27th at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine Street, Willowick. Inurnment to follow at All Souls Cemetery.

Donations can be made in Elaine’s name to Light of Hearts Villa, 283 Union St., Bedford OH 44146.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
