Estelle Grace Vayo (nee Gervais), age 91 of Mentor for over 50 years, passed away May 18th, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born November 16th, 1929 in North Chelmsford, Massachusetts to the late Alphonse and Georgianna Gervais.
Estelle retired as the secretary to the Treasurer of the Mentor Village School District. More than anything, she loved her family and was always there for them and was a devoted mother and wife. She enjoyed wintering in Florida, then gardening at her home all summer. And, Oh My, how she and Don loved to dance! Friday nights with friends were legendary.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Estelle is the loving wife for 71 years of Don R. Vayo; beloved mother of Cathy (Mike) Griesmer, Linda (John) Sellers, Kevin (Ellie) Vayo, Greg (Ellen) Vayo, Pam (Ron) Trebec and Tricia Hurst; cherished grandmother of Kelly (Joe) Carroscia, Kristi (Dennis) Reilly, Michael Griesmer, Matt (Stephanie) Griesmer, Prudy Sellers, Damon Sellers, Chad Sellers, Rochelle (Brian) Adkinson, Erin (Alex) Zito, Lindsey (Jeff) Woleben, Bryan Vayo, Chris Vayo, Daniel Vayo, Michael Stalnaker, Katie (Matt) Ferron, Jaime (Eric) Reynolds, John Trebec, Jackson Trebec, Nick (Vanna) Hurst, Andrew Hurst and Megan Hurst; great grandmother of twenty-four; sister of Jeanne Mulligan, Leon (Anita) Gervais and the late Blanche, Gertrude, Irene, Rita, Adalord, Oliver, Edward, Norman and Roland; aunt of many.
The Vayo family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 at St. Bede The Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 at the church. Burial at Mentor Cemetery.

So sorry for your loss. What a large wonderful family she had.
So many years of wonderful memories with grandma. We are all very lucky to have had an excellent example of family for so long. Fantastic wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Will miss you very much. Love you, see you on the other side.
