Forrest Randolph Emerick

Forrest Randolph Emerick, age 74 of Eastlake, passed away February 24th, 2026 at home with his family by his side. He was born May 11th, 1951 in Johnstown, PA to the late Alvin and Sarah Emerick.

Forrest was a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran. He loved helping others, especially when he would dress up and play Santa Claus. He volunteered being Santa at rehabilitation centers, cancer centers, for children with downs syndrome, Amvets, on the fire truck with the Mentor fire department, and campgrounds. He just loved putting smiles on faces young and old, he will be missed by all who knew him.

He also enjoyed camping, fishing and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He loved spending time with family and friends.

Forrest was the loving husband for 51 years to Loretta Emerick (nee White); dearest father of Danielle (Brandon) Boone and Randall Emerick; beloved grandfather of Devyn, Dylan and Isabella Emerick; brother of Yvonne Falls, and the late Jack, Alvin, Howard, and Kevin (Dotty) Emerick; brother in law of Marsha (Rick) Marthe and Michael White; uncle, cousin and friend to many.

A graveside memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Painesville.

  3. He was so fun and quiet the entertainer. Loved riding with him. He was more like a brother than a friend. My condolences goes to Loretta and his family. He will be deeply missed by everyone who has ever met him
