James E. Foster, age 82 of Mentor, passed away August 29th, 2023 at Hillcrest Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born January 23rd, 1941 in Comfort, NC to the late Edward and Ruby Foster.

Jim retired from General Motors as a tool & die maker.

Jim was a U.S. Army Veteran. He loved spending time with his family, especially his beloved granddaughter.

Jim was the loving husband for 49 years to the late Lucille Foster (nee LoPresti); dearest father of Sandra (Dean Kerro) Foster, Kimberly (David) Longano and Susan (Phil Sidoti) Foster; beloved grandfather of Tiffany Jamie Foster.

Jim was laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio. All services were private.

    Jim was our daughter-in-law Kimberly Longano’s father. They had a wonderful relationship. He will be missed. Our sympathy to Kim and her sisters and niece

    Kim and David and family – I know you all loved your dad and grandfather very much and he will be so very missed. He is with your mom. He will always be with all of you in spirit. You are all in our prayers and thoughts during this very sad and difficult time. We love you guys.
