James E. Lindhurst, age 82 of Concord, passed away August 18th, 2024 at Hospice of the Western Reserve surrounded by his family. He was born March 17th, 1942 in Niagara Falls, New York to the late Ken and Marjorie Lindhurst.
Jim retired from Lincoln Electric after 45 years of service.
Jim served 6 years as an Army National Guard of Ohio Veteran, Specialist 4th class. He then studied electronics. He enjoyed camping with his family and had a passion for music. He played the piano, the organ and had a beautiful singing voice. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where he served as the treasurer for 10 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for over 30 years where he sang in the choir.
Jim was the loving husband of 59 years to Joan Helana Lindhurst (nee Lange); beloved father of Jeffrey C. (Farahnaz) Lindhurst and Mark (Lisa) Lindhurst; dearest grandpa of Brianna and Jared Lindhurst, Jake and Josh Rogowski; brother of Diane (Norman) Traub and Robert (Susan) Lindhurst; brother-in-law of Lee (Diane) Lange and James Lange; uncle of many nieces and nephews.
The Lindhurst family will receive family and friends from 3:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday, August 25th, 2024 at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A Funeral Service will held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 26th, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Mentor Ave., Painesville. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Monday before the funeral service. Burial will follow at Mentor Cemetery.

Well my Army National Guard and tent Buddy is gone and we will miss him very much. He was a great man and someone to lookup to. He was a great friend an a good influence on me . All my love condolences to his family.
