James “Skip” P. Etchell, age 63 of Eastlake, peacefully passed away at home September 17th, 2023. He was born December 4th, 1959 in Cleveland.
Skip worked and retired from Malish Corporation.
Skip loved watching old movies, reading the newspaper, eating pizza, watching the Oakland professional teams (Raiders, A’s, etc.). He was a great writer and notetaker, he loved animals, especially cats. He most loved his family; he loved watching all their sporting events and would cut out any newspaper clippings about them. He had a tremendous memory and was a very caring human being. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Skip is the loving son of the late James E. (Helen) Etchell and Patricia (Dennis Anderson) Etchell (nee Joyce) – retired from Willoughby Police department; dearest brother of the late Sandra Mulea; step brother of Jeff Raymond and Denise Wood; nephew of Vincent Joyce and the late Thomas (Karen) Joyce; loving uncle of Joseph (Erin) Mulea; loving cousin of many.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, Friday, September 22nd, 2023 at The Abbey, 38011 Euclid Ave., Willoughby (located on the grounds of McMahon Coyne Vitantonio Funeral Home). A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon Friday at The Abbey. Burial to follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
