James W. Piper, age 85 of Euclid, passed away August 1st, 2023 surrounded by his family at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. He was born November 16th, 1937 in Blairsville, PA to the late Charles and Gladys Piper.

Jim was a U.S. Army Veteran, 82nd Airborne Division. He was a machinist for over 30 years before retiring from Curtis Industries.

Jim was a longtime area baseball coach. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter.

Jim is the loving husband of 61 years to Anna Marie Piper (nee Bako); dearest father of Jim M. Piper and Mike W. (Robin) Piper; cherished grandfather of Olivia “Olive” Ann Piper; brother of the late Linda Piper; brother-in-law of Donna (Dennis) Botteicher and the late Barbara (Harold) Waters; uncle to many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 12 Noon Monday, August 7th, 2023 at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon Monday at the funeral home. Burial at Willoughby Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
