John Louis “Big John” Wisniewski, age 67 of Timberlake passed away September 11, 2017 at Hospice of the Western Reserve surrounded by his loving family. John was born June 28, 1950 in Cleveland to the late Louis and Justine Wisniewski.

John retired in 2009 from Hitachi in Mentor as a facilities manager after 37 years of service.

Big John was a former councilman of Timberlake. He loved reading the newspaper, forecasting the weather, Ohio State football and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Loving husband of Rosemary Wisniewski; dearest father of Michael Wisniewski, Carrie (Ray) Welling and the late Steven John Wisniewski; beloved grandfather of Marek John, Saiya, Luke, Sophia, Gwenyth Ann and Raymond Steven; step father of Nicholas Kos, Danielle (Steven) Waughtel and Dennis Kos; step grandfather of Leala, Teagan and Keira; brother of Gregory Wisniewski and Rosemary (Alan) Skinner; former husband of Kathleen Wisniewski; uncle of many.

Celebration of Life services were held.

Donations can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 East 185th Street, Cleveland 44119.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.

  4. John was my immediate supervisor at VME, Euclid, Euclid Hitachi (so many names). Saw a Facebook post Tuesday, September 11 while waiting for a flight from Hopkins Airport. Noted more offering condolences on John N Rose’s Facebook Page. Flew to LA and daily checked via the internet the Plain Dealer Obituary page.

    My and my wife’s (Kathy) condolences to Rose, John’s children and family. Saw and had lunch with John April at the Euclid Retiree’s Luncheon.
