Jon was my “little” cousin. I never knew him as an adult but my daughter, Caitlin Rose Mahoney, and Jon’s daughter, Brittany, enjoyed a close friendship during our family reunion days at Oglebay. My heart goes out to Brittany and Jon.

I have so many wonderful memories that come to mind like bike riding, having you at my softball games, Or all the fun activities we would do at the brakeman house. Even just watching our favorite movies while cooking some ranch inspired dish. Or when you would allow me to put jersey shore on and pretend to be interested, just to spend time with me. I am so grateful to have been able to spend so much time with you over the years, and really get to know your heart! You have such a big heart, and you’ve touched people’s lives in such an amazing way I dont think you ever really knew how much. You have also taught me so many life lessons, some lessons you didnt realize you were teaching at the time. I love you dad so much, I pray you are able to find the peace you’ve been searching for.

Our hearts are breaking with yours. The youngest sibling should not be the first to go. I hope he is being an Angel with both Joes’, Stella, Barb, Jessie and Walt. I always enjoyed visiting with the Dzingleski’s. Fond memories of fun and food. I thought Stella was a great cook! Vivid memory with Becky and Bob of helping in the removing of Jon Jr.’s splinter at the family reunion. Funny how things stick with us. With time may your memories be mostly the happy ones. Love, Cousin Diane
