Joseph A. Bruno Sr. “Papa”, age 76 of Concord, passed away April 3rd, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born July 15th, 1947 in Cleveland to the late Santuccio and Angelarose Bruno.

Joe enjoyed his Arabian horses and making wine. Joe loved nothing more than his sweetheart June, being a father, and Papa to his grandchildren.

Joe was the loving husband of 53 years to June Bruno (nee Wrobel); beloved father of Jason (Karen) Bruno, Jacqui Bruno, Justin Bruno, Jon (Sarah) Bruno and Joey (Jacqueline) Bruno; dearest grandfather of Anthony and Stephanie Bruno, Justin and Ashley Occhinero, Jenna, Jimmy and Jianna Rhodes-Bruno, James and Joey Bruno, and expected baby boy Bruno, Jack, Julian and Juliana Bruno, and the late Ashley Bruno; brother of Catherine Tagg and Palma Bruno; brother in law of Kathy Vadas and Robin (Angelo) Ferrari, and the late Paulette Leonardi; uncle to many nieces and nephews.

The Bruno family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday at St. Gabriel Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Concord (Please meet at the church). Entombment at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.

    There are no words express my sympathy to you all. The memories of almost 50 years just keep flooding back in my thoughts Of course the words “Thatsa My Son!” are echoing in my mind!   6. Dear June and the entire Bruno family, I was very saddened to hear of Joey’s passing. I have fond memories of interacting with Joey and June with the whole Hairways crew. Although I have lived in Florida for the last 25 yrs. I have never forgotten my Ohio roots. My deepest condolences and he RIP!! 🙏🙏 Jerry Miano

    I am so sorry to hear that Joe died. He seemed so vigorous at Otto’s Memorial Service-

    ‘Sincere condolences to you & your family.

    I’m highly recommend ‘Grief Share’ which is held in Methodist Churches nationwide. I’m still going. It’s beyond amazing.
