Josephine Rose Ross

03/14/1941 — 04/25/2022

A close-up photo of Josephine Rose Ross looking intently and brightly upward with a big smile on her face

osephine Rose Ross, age 81 of Mentor On The Lake, Ohio, passed away April 25th, 2022. She was born March 14th, 1941 in Cleveland to the late Joseph Ross Pagliaro and Loretta Ross (nee Ferraro).
Loving mother to Eddie R. Pagliaro & sister Carol Bottiggi, deceased brothers John Ross, Bill Ross, nephew Jerry Paradise.

Josie as she preferred to be called, loved to laugh, sing & dance. She actually had a very good singing voice that not to many people were aware of, and was also a good dancer.

She had a great sense of humor and she was fun to be around. She had a charismatic personality, and was very strong willed. Her son would say of her “she was one of the strongest people I’ve ever known, stronger than most men I’ve known”.

She would tell her son Eddie- “ you can accomplish anything you want if you put your mind and heart to it”.

It was important to Josie that her son Eddie followed his dreams in Hollywood & never give up, no matter what.

Josie loved her family, friends & cat Toby very much. She has a strong belief in God, and the Lord Jesus, and stated that “when it’s time to go, I’m ready to go and be with the Lord, I’m not afraid”.
She lovingly leaves behind many Nieces, nephews, a son and a sister. She also leaves many friends, who she considered to be to family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville.

  2. I will miss my mother (Josie) greatly.
My heart hurts, still processing the pain! We spoke often on the phone about life, politics and God.

She was an amazing person , and a very strong woman, with a lot of passion.

I just I want to say thank you, to Steve, Debbie, and my aunt Carol for taking care of my mother, and looking out for her while I’ve been working on the West Coast.

Thank you for all the love and support!

I and my mother (Josie) are forever grateful!
