This is a sad day for a wonderful family and I lived in that family 40 years ago. Larry and sandy gave me hope love respect that they didn’t have to. They could have turned there back but that would have been easy but they never did easy. I had the opportunity last year to tell them both thank you and I’m thankful for that. Without there love respect I’m not sure where life would have taken me so I’m so very thankful. Rest In Peace Larry you will be missed more than you know.
My deepest sympathies to Leroy’s family and friends. I met Leroy thru my employment at the Mentor Police Dept. He will be sorely missed.
Leroy was my best friend for over 29 years while we served with Mentor PD. He was one of the best officers I ever knew. A heart as big as Texas, a loyalty that never wavered and the courage of a lion made him the kind of friend you meet once in a lifetime. While retirement forced us to go our separate ways, i thought of him often and missed him more than he would ever know, Sleep safe my old friend. The hope of our meeting again is the only thing that will mend my broken heart.
So sorry for your family . You guys are in our prayers

We always think we will have more time. But time is fleeting, and then gone. I will miss you, my brother, wishing we had more time.
We grew up and our lives drew us in different directions but even across the miles, there was the connection and love of family that transcends the distance. That bond will never be broken and I know we will have a family reunion again someday.
Until then, may the love of family surround you and may you Rest In Peace, dear brother.
