Marie Thompson Roberts (nee Bove), age 97 of Mentor, passed away peacefully February 28, 2018 at Symphony of Mentor surrounded by her family. She was born May 20, 1920 in Cleveland to the late Herman and Marie Bove.

Marie is the loving wife of the late Ralph Thompson and the late Marvin Roberts; loving mother of the late Carol Porter Buescher and Pat Thompson; dearest grandmother of Marie Porter, Cheryl (Craig) Masci, Ralph (Maria) Criswell, Vicki (Chris) Fisher, Kirby Roberts and Justin Roberts; great grandmother of eleven; great great grandmother of three; sister of the late Vincent Bove, Dorothy Spagnola and Irma Ronski; sister in law of Ann Bove; aunt and great aunt of many.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM Monday, March 5, 2018 at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor.

Visitation 2-6 PM Sunday at The Abbey, located on the grounds of Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 38011 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Interment at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.

  1. Marie truly was a lovely lady. My husband, Bill Rogers, was her neighbor at Symphony. For most of the time that I knew her she always had a smile on her face. She was so very pleasant and a pleasure to know. God Bless you at this time.
