Marilyn S. Valentine (nee Krucke), age 74 of Mentor, passed away February 2, 2021 at LakeWest Medical Center in Willoughby. She was born August 7, 1946 in Cleveland to the late Otto and Leona Krucke.

Marilyn was a retired executive secretary at the Geon Company in Cleveland.

She was a member and past president of the Music Mentors at Mentor High School. She was instrumental in the efforts to bring about the successful creation of the Mentor High School Performing Arts Auditorium.

Marilyn is the loving wife for 52 years of Rick E. Valentine; dearest mother of Barry Valentine and Andrew Valentine; beloved grandmother of Sophie; sister of Joyce and Beverly; sister-in-law of Ronald (Jan) Valentine and Denise Martin; aunt to many nieces and nephews.

The Valentine family will receive family and friends 5:00-7:00 PM Monday at The Abbey, 38011 Euclid Ave., Willoughby (which is located on the grounds of McMahon Coyne Vitantonio Funeral Home). A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM at The Abbey. Casual dress attire please. Masks and social distancing required.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral & Cremation Services.

  1. I am so sorry to hear my dear sister-in-law Marilyn passed this past week. Her and my brother Rick have been so supportive for me through the years. Marilyn always had a positive attitude and comment to share with me, I will miss her greatly. Rest in Jesus Marilyn.

    So sorry to hear about Marilyn. We are not in Ohio right now, so will not be able to be there for the funeral, but will stop at your home in March when we get home. God be with you all

    Rich what a wonderful memorial I felt there with you and your wonderful family..It has been many years since I have seen my cousin. I will say this you could not mistake being a Krucke if you saw the krucke glann. I do miss the ballpark and the city some what. who ever put this together a magnificent job. This is a keep sake Rich. I wish to pass this on to you. Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.   6. My heart breaks for all of you. Marilyn was a pure joy to talk to. She was so kind and loving. I have a gift from her that I will always treasure.
