Michael Toth, age 73 of Mayfield Hts., passed away August 8th, 2023 at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by his family. He was born January 27th, 1950 in Cleveland to the late Michael and Ada Toth of Pepper Pike.
Mike graduated from Orange High School in 1968. He retired from the United States Postal Service as a window clerk after 36 years of service. After retirement, he had various positions at Cleveland Metroparks, Will-o Transportation, Breckenridge, and current position as a Facilities Manager at Church of the Western Reserve, Presbyterian Church.
Mike was a member of the Cuyahoga Amateur Radio Club (CARS), Cleveland Hiking Club,
Volunteer on the William G. Mather, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, Lake Metroparks, Cleveland Metroparks, Auxiliary Officer at the Richmond Heights Police Department, officer of the church serving as a Deacon, also he loved serving on mission trips building Habitat houses in South Dakota and Alaska. He was active in the Men’s Group, weekly Bible studies, and led community events at the church. He was a major enthusiast of nature, motown, disco swing and contra dancing. He was a true patriot of his country.
Mike is the loving father of Lisa (Ed) Rendek; grandfather of Karyn and Eddie Rendek; brother of Betty (Tom) Donoughe, Barb (Paul) Kondrat and Joseph Toth; uncle of many nieces, nephews and many great nieces, nephews and close cousins; dearest companion of Carol Buczek.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Monday, August 14th, 2023 at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.

Another Hiking Club member in heaven! I remember when Mike volunteered to work at camp. He will be missed by many.

My deepest sympathy to Mike`s loved ones. I was in the Thursday morning bible study with Mike, at Church of the
Western Reserve. Mike was such a delightful guy, so full of life, humor, and compassion. A truly kind man and
always a gentleman. I will miss him, so much. Everyone who knew and loved him will, too.
